Roads and Bridges

Due to flooding, the following Roads and Bridges are currently CLOSED, and hazards are in place for the following Causeways:

 

ROADS:

CURRENT ROAD CLOSURES:

 
1. Paterson River Road (north of Lawrence Road part road closed reduced to one lane due to landslip)

 

Please ensure you drive safely and to the conditions. If you come across water over a road, please call our after-hours team on 0407 721 224.

Removing or tampering with council warning signage and barriers could result in someone being seriously injured. Members of the public are urged NOT to remove these items at any time.

BRIDGES

CURRENT BRIDGE CLOSURES

All bridges have been reopened.

 

Please note Horns Crossing, Bruxner, Clements Bridges and Saxby Creek have flood rack which has been cleared to provide access but PLEASE drive with caution, with our crews out removing the remainder of the flood rack to make safe as quickly as possible today. 

 

CAUSEWAYS

Hazards are currently in place for the following causeways: 

Due to a large amount of rain in the upper catchment, please drive with caution across causeways. White’s Road, Lawrence Road, Cross Keys, and Allyn River Road have fluctuating water levels, so please avoid if possible.

GRESFORD SUSPENSION BRIDGE: 3T Load Limit

Heavy Vehicle access via Paterson River crossing, subject to flooding.

 

All remaining bridges are open with ongoing monitoring of weather impacts. Dungog Shire Council Updates will be provided as they become available, and we thank you for your co-operation.
